APPLICATION by Aklak Air Ltd. for cancellation of the authority to serve the points Aklavik, Fort McPherson and Sachs Harbour, Northwest Territories under Licence No. 880427.

Aklak Air Ltd. (hereinafter the Licensee) has applied to the National Transportation Agency (hereinafter the Agency) for the cancellation set out in the title. The application was received on July 8, 1992.
Under Licence No. 880427, the Licensee is authorized to operate a Class 2 Regular Specific Point domestic service using fixed wing aircraft in Groups B, C and D, serving the points Inuvik, Aklavik, Fort McPherson, Tuktoyaktuk, Sachs Harbour, Fort Good Hope and Norman Wells, Northwest Territories.
In its application, the Licensee has advised the Agency that the deletion of the points Aklavik, Fort McPherson and Sachs Harbour under Licence No. 880427 will not result in a reduction of service to these communities, as it is presently serving them under Licence No. 880429.
The Agency has reviewed the application and considers it appropriate to cancel the authority to serve the points Aklavik, Fort McPherson and Sachs Harbour, Northwest Territories under Licence No. 880427.
The authority to serve the points Aklavik, Fort McPherson and Sachs Harbour under Licence No. 880427 is hereby cancelled pursuant to subsection 75(2) of the National Transportation Act, 1987, R.S.C., 1985, c. 28 (3rd Supp.).
A new document of licence, bearing Licence No. 880427, authorizing Aklak Air Ltd. to operate a Class 2 Regular Specific Point domestic service serving the points Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk, Fort Good Hope and Norman Wells, Northwest Territories, will be issued.
