The Canadian Transportation Agency aims to be a modern, responsive organization that contributes to the effectiveness of the Canadian transportation system within a rapidly changing environment.
The Agency believes that much has been achieved in the past several years to improve the travel experience for Canadians with disabilities. The many collaborative efforts between the Agency, the industry and the community of persons with disabilities have produced concrete results.
In keeping with its collaborative approach, the Agency's codes of practice have been developed in consultation with the community of persons with disabilities and transportation service providers.
There are presently five voluntary codes of practice and four guides in place.
