The Agency deals with a wide range of air carrier-related complaints, including complaints about:

• Passenger Air Travel

• Tariffs (Terms and conditions of carriage)

• Charter flights

• Illegal operations by unlicensed, publicly-available air carriers

• Air fares on routes within Canada on which there is no or limited competition

• Cargo rates on routes within Canada on which there is no or limited competition

• Discontinuance of service

• Undue obstacles to the transportation of persons with disabilities

The Agency does not deal with complaints about:

• The level or quality of customer service

• Tour operators

• Travel agents

• Aircraft noise, safety and security

• Aircraft cabin standards

• Problems in airport terminals

• Problems with airport security

• Non-carrier operated loyalty programs such as Air Miles

• Unfair competitive practices

• Bilingual services
