Review and updating of the Air Transportation Regulations

The Canadian Transportation Agency has launched a process of review with the intention of updating the Air Transportation Regulations (ATR) and is soliciting the comments of all interested parties.

The ATR set out details for the implementation and enforcement of the Canada Transportation Act.  They cover such Agency responsibilities as the classification of aircraft and air services, domestic and international licensing, including the financial requirements for licences and the conditions governing the provision of aircraft with flight crew.

The Agency is now inviting stakeholders to submit their comments and suggestions both on proposals developed by the Agency and on any other related topics of interest to stakeholders.  The Letter to Stakeholders: Invitation to Participate in Consultations details the process to be followed in submitting your written comments. The deadline for written comments is July 26, 2010.
