Important information related to dispute adjudication

Starting June 4, 2014, the Agency's new Dispute Adjudication Rules come into effect for all new dispute proceedings.

The new rules make dispute adjudication processes faster, more transparent and more predictable. The improvements in the rules reflect feedback from client surveys and consultations indicating a need for faster service and clearer, plain language information on how the Agency resolves disputes.

In addition, an innovative, interactive annotation to the rules gives people easy access to all the information and tools needed to participate effectively in dispute proceedings.

Note: If your dispute proceeding was accepted as complete before June 4, 2014, the Canadian Transportation Agency General Rules, SOR/2005-35 still apply to your case. If you have any questions, please contact your case officer.
