World Summit on Accessible Tourism
The Canadian Transportation Agency proudly contributed to the 'Destinations for All' world summit, held October 19-22 in Montreal, where experts from more than 30 countries took the dialogue on universally-accessible tourism to a new and exciting level.
Agency staff gave a presentation about our Accessibility for All training videos. Accessibility for All is a program developed to help transportation service providers comply with the requirements of the Personnel Training for the Assistance of Persons with Disabilities Regulations. The training material will inform staff of Canada’s federal transportation service providers on how to assist travellers with disabilities.
The summit brought together experts in tourism, culture, and transportation from the United Nations and a wide array of governments, agencies and private industry to share best practices and discuss international strategies.
