Milton Logistics Hub Project

The consultation is closed

This consultation took place between June 8 and July 11, 2016.

On December 6, 2016, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Scott Streiner, Chair and CEO of the Canadian Transportation Agency, announced the establishment of a three-member panel (Review Panel) to review the proposed Project.  The Review Panel, which includes a Member appointed from the Canadian Transportation Agency, is mandated to conduct the environmental assessment (EA) and, for the purposes of a potential railway line construction determination under the Canada Transportation Act, to gather information and views concerning the location of new railway lines.

The purpose of the joint process is to simplify and facilitate the involvement of all interested parties by combining opportunities for input related to both the EA under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 and the potential railway line construction determination.  Therefore, any comments should be sent directly to the Review Panel for its consideration and inclusion on the environmental assessment registry on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency’s website (registry reference number 80100) and I encourage you to send your comments directly to the Review Panel at MiltonHubPanel.PoleMiltonCommission@ceaa-acee.gc.ca

Please note that all records produced, collected or submitted in respect of the environmental assessment will be considered public and posted on the registry, unless they are excluded for reason of privacy, confidentiality or security. If you are not currently on the registry's distribution list, you may wish to subscribe so that you will receive updates and notifications as the process proceeds.
