In the matter of

Application by Timothy Rose against Air Canada

Case No.: 18-50077

The Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) will hold an oral hearing from Monday, December 2 to Thursday, December 5, 2019, at:

Victory Verbatim, 222 Bay St, Suite 900, Toronto, ON

The hearing will commence on December 2 at 9:00 a.m.

The purpose of the oral hearing is to allow the Agency to gather additional information and hear evidence from witnesses on whether Air Canada can remove the obstacles identified by the applicant without experiencing undue hardship.

Mr. Rose uses a power wheelchair as a mobility device. In 2016, he attempted to book a flight from Toronto to Cleveland, but was informed that Air Canada had no flights that could accommodate him on this route because his wheelchair was too large to fit through the door to the cargo area of the aircraft.

Attendance at the hearing

Members of the public may attend as observers of the hearing. The seating capacity is limited and will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. No cameras or recording devices are permitted.
