Application by Lui Greco against Air Canada

Case No. 17-05263

The Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) held a virtual oral hearing Wednesday, September 1, to Friday, September 3, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST).

In order to hear further evidence from the parties, the Agency will be extending the hearing period to Wednesday, October 20 with the possibility of further extension to Thursday October 21, 2021.

The purpose of the oral hearing is to allow the Agency to gather additional information and hear evidence from witnesses on whether Air Canada can remove the obstacle faced by the applicant without experiencing undue hardship.

Mr. Greco has a vision impairment and uses a screen reader. Since Air Canada launched its new website in January 2017, Mr. Greco has had difficulty using Air Canada’s online reservation system.

The Agency initially scheduled the oral hearing to be held from January 27 to January 29, 2021. However, it adjourned the proceedings at the request of the parties, in order to allow more time to submit expert reports.
