Help with DAISY Format

DAISY stands for Digital Accessible Information System. It is a type of digital talking book, one of the main upcoming formats offering flexibility and "multi sensory" content. A DAISY Digital Talking Book is a multimedia alternative to a traditional audio cassette or CD-based talking book. It provides better audio quality and also increases accessibility by allowing easy navigation from point to point within the content.

DAISY files are played back on either hardware or software players. If you have a hardware player, you will need to burn the entire DAISY folder onto a new disk in order to be able to play it. To play the DAISY files on a software player, simply drag the entire DAISY folder into your player. If you do not have a DAISY player, you can download one for free from the DAISY consortium Web site at: www.daisy.org.
