Contravention
Note: Subject to a Compliance Agreement
(A) On or about February 27, 2020, the Winnipeg Airports Authority failed to ensure that all their employees and contractors who are required by the Personnel Training for the Assistance of Persons with Disabilities Regulations to receive training completed their initial training within 60 days after the commencement of their duties thereby violating section 8 of these regulations.
(B) On or about February 27, 2020, the Winnipeg Airports Authority failed to ensure that all their employees and contractors received periodic refresher training sessions appropriate to the requirements of their function, thereby violating section 9 of the Personnel Training for the Assistance of Persons with Disabilities Regulations.
Compliance Agreement
After a request by Winnipeg Airports Authority, the Agency has agreed to enter into a compliance agreement pursuant to subsection 180.62(1) of the Canada Transportation Act.
Date of the agreement: January 14, 2022
Notice of Default
Winnipeg Airports Authority was served with a Notice of Default pursuant to 180.62(4) of the Canada Transportation Act as the Agency is of the opinion that the Winnipeg Airports Authority has not complied with the agreement entered into. As per the terms of the agreement, the security of $6,000 was forfeited to His Majesty in right of Canada.
