File No. M4895-A35-4

Docket No. 90768

General Department of International Air Services (Aeroflot "Soviet Airlines") (hereinafter the applicant) has applied to the National Transportation Agency for the authority to operate the service set out in the title. The application was received on October 11, 1990.

Under Licence No. 890202, the applicant is authorized to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service to transport traffic between points in the USSR and points in Canada, using fixed wing aircraft in Group H.

Notice of the application was published on November 6, 1990 in the newspapers of the areas concerned and copies of the notice were sent to selected air carriers and to others believed to be interested. No interventions opposing the granting of the application were filed with the Agency.

Following its consideration of the application, the Agency finds it in the public interest to issue a new document of licence, bearing Licence No. 890202 to General Department of International Air Services (Aeroflot "Soviet Airlines") and, in accordance with the applicant's indicated intentions, to authorize the Licensee to also use fixed wing aircraft in Group G.

The applicant has now filed Section II of its application. The Agency has reviewed the material filed and is satisfied that the applicant meets the requirements set out in subsection 94(1) of the National Transportation Act, 1987.

Accordingly, a new document of licence, bearing Licence No. 890202, will be issued to General Department of International Air Services (Aeroflot "Soviet Airlines").

Condition No. 2 of Licence No. 890202 is hereby amended to read:

The Licensee is authorized to use fixed wing aircraft in Groups G and H.
