Feeds Help Page

What are feeds?

Our news feeds allow you to read through the news you want, at your convenience.

By using the reader of your choice or building the feed into your blog (or online personal journal), you can access the latest Agency news in your favourite environment.

Why use feeds?

  • Feeds allow you to select the type of news and information you get from websites.
  • Receive the most up-to-date information published by the Agency on the subjects of your choice.
  • Personalize your feeds by subscribing only to subjects that are of interest to you.
  • Read your feeds when you want by using a feed reader.

How do I use feeds?

To view feeds on your computer, you will usually need to get an feed reader or a Web module. To add an news feed, click on the orange button, copy the URL (site address) and paste it into your application. It's that simple!

Another way to view news feeds is to use a Web-based news reader.

How do I subscribe to a feed?

Just click on the orange RSS icon button, copy the URL from the address bar and then paste it in the proper field of your feed reader to instantly add the latest Agency news headlines to your reader.

Will I be advised when I receive a news feed from the Agency?

Not all readers, systems or programs incorporating news feed technologies will necessarily inform you that the Agency has recently published a news posting or a notice that you are subscribed to. As such, you may need to open your reader to access your latest feeds. However, several popular e-mail programs now provide the option of accessing your feeds through specifically configured folders which will automatically inform you of all incoming feeds. Please consult your user manuals for related instructions.

How often will my reader check the Agency website for the latest feeds?

Most readers must be configured by the user to determine the frequency at which they will access subscribed feeds for the latest postings.

How do I get a news reader?

There are many news readers available on the Web. Some are built into your browser or can be downloaded for free. Some readers will work better on different operating systems. You should consider these issues when choosing your software.
